FIFA World Cup 2010 : Germany facts

Finished third in FIFA World Cup 2010 extent their success in FIFA World Cup history to 12th time ended as top four. Germany also continue their consistency achievement in last 8 years when continues advance to semi finals FIFA World Cup for the third time. Last time in Finals is FIFA World Cup 2002 as they lost to Brazil 2-0.

Prior to South Africa games start Germany going through qualifying stages in ease task when finished top of the group with 8 wins and 2 draws. Miroslav Klose, Lukas Podolski Micheal Ballack and Bastian Schweinsteiger are key players for them when they together scored 20 out of 25 goals.

Micheal Ballack absent in FIFA World Cup 2010 due to injury not exaggerated Germany team when they advance to Semi-finals and finished third. Thomas Muller become words of mouth as young player in age of 21 scored 5 goals. He also awarded as Best Young Player and Adidas Golden boot even though he never play any games during qualifying matches. His first capped was 3 March 2010 against Argentina.

They have advance to finals count of 7 times and only managed to win 3 times. Their worst achievement were 1938 and 1978 when only finished at first round and second round respectively.
