England fail to show up what they have in qualifiers when in FIFA World Cup 2010 they only manage 1 win, 2 draws and 1 lose. They score only 3 goals from each of Steven Gerrard, Jermain Defoe and Matt Upson and 5 goals against.
It was 13th appearance in FIFA World Cup. The best achievement came on FIFA World Cup 1966 when win over West Germany in extra time 4-2. After that their best achievement is fourth place in FIFA World Cup 1990. In UEFA European Championship the best achievement are third place in 1968 and Semi-finals in 1996.
